Welcome!

Have you ever felt stuck or unhappy without knowing why? Or, you know why but you just can’t get past the problem?

People enter psychotherapy for all different reasons: grief, crises, anxiety, sadness, unmanageable anger, relationship troubles, career issues, etc. Sometimes they don’t even know what’s bothering them - they just know they don’t feel right. What they have in common is that they are experiencing psychological and emotional pain.

Finding a professional who can help is the first step toward not just symptom relief, but also personal growth and increased satisfaction with your life. Knowledge is power and knowledge about yourself enables you to relate better to others and to cope what whatever comes your way – long after you’ve finished psychotherapy.

I can help you sort through your thoughts and feelings to better understand what’s making you uncomfortable and how to resolve the problem.

Do you think you need help but can’t get yourself started because you feel ashamed or embarrassed?

Everyone has his or her own ideas about what it means to be in therapy. Some see it as a failure that they can’t manage on their own. Others think it reveals that they’re weak, ineffective or worse yet, “sick”. Still others rationalize that they can or should talk to friends or relatives rather than some stranger.

To my mind, the ability to recognize you have a problem and accept that you need help resolving it is an inner strength. Seeking the help of a psychotherapist is no different from going to a doctor when your body hurts or an accountant or financial advisor when you have trouble with your finances. And no matter how well-intentioned friends and relatives are, they can’t be as objective as an independent third party nor can they understand or interpret their observations as well as a properly trained professional.

It’s the strong among us who end up in therapy, looking inward to understand himself or herself better, which is the key to change and control. I can help you gain a clearer picture of what you want in your life along with an increased ability to pursue your dreams.
